ARMY RESERVE BONUSES
There’s a host of unique accession bonuses available to those who are considering joining the Army Reserve—some of which would take years to earn in the civilian world.
NON-PRIOR SERVICE ARMY RESERVE ENLISTMENT BONUS
Qualified applicants who have not served before and who enlist for six years in the Army Reserve are eligible for up to a $20,000 cash bonus for the following in-demand Military Occupation Specialties:
- Bridge Crewmember (12C)
- Power Distribution Specialist (12Q)
- Technical Engineer (12T)
- Air Traffic Control Operator (15Q)
- Internment/Resettlement Specialist (31E)
- Geospatial Intelligence Imagery Analyst (35G)
- Human Intelligence Collector (35M)
- Cryptologic Linguist (35P)
- Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer/Integrator (35T)
- Psychological Operations Specialist (37F)
- Orthopedic Specialist (68B)
- Eye Specialist (68Y)
- Cargo Specialist (88H)
- Petroleum Laboratory Specialist (92L)
- Parachute Rigger (92R)
- Water Treatment Specialist (92W)
All other MOSs are eligible for up to $7,000 in enlistment bonuses.
PRIOR SERVICE ENLISTMENT BONUS
Applicants who have served in the Armed Forces in the past are eligible for bonuses if they contract to serve in the Army Reserve for a minimum of three years. They must have served less than 16 years, have been honorably discharged, and contract for a qualifying MOS.
QUICK SHIP BONUS
You could earn up to $7,000 if you report to Basic Training within seven weeks of signing your contract. This is available for any MOS.
STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM
Enlisted Army Reserve Soldiers can combine their cash accession bonus with a Student Loan repayment agreement. In-demand jobs can qualify for up to $50,000 to repay your current outstanding student loan debt, and up to $30,000 is available for all other jobs. Requirements for this program may vary.
OFFICER AND WARRANT OFFICER ACCESSION BONUS
Candidates for Army Reserve Officer and Warrant Officer positions can choose between cash bonuses or student loan repayment benefits when they join and successfully complete training and commissioning for an in-demand field.
A $20,000 cash bonus or up to $30,000 in Student Loan Repayment is available for eligible positions.
