The Golden Knights are always looking for new team members to perform and compete during the group's demanding schedule. Spots on the Golden Knights team are highly competitive and candidates must show a skill and dedication far beyond the average skydiver in order to earn a place.
Parachute Team
If you think you have what it takes to become a Golden Knight, you can find the application packet below. Applications are due by July 15th, and tryouts are held each year from September through October.
General Requirements
In order to become a member of the Golden Knights Parachute Team:
- You must possess a clean military and civilian criminal or disciplinary record.
- You must have performed a minimum of 100 military or civilian free-fall jumps.
- You must be static-line Airborne-qualified or willing to attend U.S. Army Airborne School.
- You must submit your application packet for approval with your chain of command.

Reporting to the Golden Knights
After you have been selected to be a member of the Golden Knights team, you will receive a welcome letter and reporting instructions.
Aviation Team
The Golden Knights Aviation Team, known as “Team 6” is responsible for operating and maintaining the Golden Knights’ fleet of aircraft. The team is always searching for talented, motivated personnel to join the Golden Knights.
General Requirements
We require the utmost professionalism and dedication, both as an expert in your aviation field and as a representative of the United States Army to the American public. The emphasis on teamwork cannot be overstated, as we accomplish more than 65 aerial demonstrations across North America every year with a relatively small operation. OfficersXCommissioned Officers are the managers, problem solvers, key influencers and planners who lead Enlisted Soldiers in all situations.Learn More and NCOs considering assignment to Team 6 should be prepared to work hard and utilize initiative to accomplish a very unique aviation mission.
As a member of the Golden Knight’s Aviation Team, you must:
- Expect heavy operational utilization – Team members spend about 120 days a year TDY, including a 60-day training phase every winter in Florida
- Be willing to take on a four-year assignment
- Be willing and self-motivated and eager to adapt to a non-traditional work environment
- Be willing to work a flexible schedule
